Built by James Sleight in 1893, 971 Putnam is a wonderful two-family brownstone with a huge extension on a picturesque block in Stuyvesant Heights. 971 Putnam retains some original details, including: original parlor doors and much woodwork and trim; original newel post and balustrade; original stained glass on the front; a working gas lamp; and the home has been fully upgraded with new electrical, plumbing, and mechanicals.
